Update

Hello to Everyone,
This is going to be probably a long post because there is much to catch up on.
So first things first:
I have a new Nephew Kael Bryant Birdno. He was a month early but is perfectly healthy and Crystal is doing great as well. So excited for the new arrival and kinda sad that they live so far away.
One of my bestest friends turned the big 30 this month. Ms. Sarah Peterson Doster is now 30 and I am not sure if she is loving it. But heck she looks great and happy... really that is what matters. She is a rockstar. We have been friends since we were 12 and were like David and Goliath. Mainly because I was 4'10" and she was 5'10". She is always so supportive of me even when she has a busy life with 3 kids, one on the way and a husband. Anyway she is a rock and I love her to death and am so grateful we are friends and her Grandmother thought to make us hang out. LOL
I am currently doing full-time school & work. Yes I think I have taken a few crazy pills but it is what needs to be done. Lets just pray that I survive. But things are going well with it all. And I just moved to Chandler. Yes I left Mesa and have moved further south. LOL It is going really good and I get to ride my bike to work everyday. (while it is still under 100)

I am adding pictures of my friends and what I have been up to lately.

So pretty much those are the updates. Not promising to be better at the posts but I will try. :) Love you all!!!

Thoughts

Life has been rushing by me so quickly I can't even remember the small things right now. So perhaps if I put them in writing my thoughts may come to me more clearly.
First - I realized today that I have fabulous support and love in my world. I am reminded daily of the great friends and family I have. My friend Sarah D. for instance... even though she is going through a rough time and dealing with work, family, pregnancy etc she still takes the time to talk to me. Or one of the sweetest things was on my birthday she posted on her blog a blurb about me. It was so sweet and of course I cried because I just do that. It has been just the simple things lately that I cherish.
Second - School and work are kicking my tail. Don't get me wrong I choose this and I am not complaining because things are actually going really well with both. However, I feel stupid for not applying myself earlier and just doing it all. I am older and wiser but that doesn't mean it is easier. I did however make the Dean's list and just finished up one of my economics classes with an A. I forgot how much I love to learn.
Third - I have been faced with some reality checks of my single life. It is difficult at times to do this on my own. Not going to lie it is mainly when I am sick and want someone to take care of me if only to bring me a bowl of soup. However, I wouldn't change the direction I have gone. I feel a stronger person for it. Someday I would like to be married and have a family but it is not up to me the timetable. All I can do is prepare myself and be the best version of me.
Fourth and Final - Jesus Christ is my Savior. He is my comforter and friend. My testimony has been growing in the smallest ways but I know now of his love and care for me. There is so much that comes from following his teachings and doing as he asks. It is hard at times but if it were not hard I don't think I would learn.
I love you all and wish you the happiest of times in life right now.
Love,

Blessings

As it is that time of year were we tend to all reflect on the blessings of the past year it has come to my attention that I have been truly blessed in more than just the past year.

OH it has been one of those years of ups and downs but needless to say it has just been a part of the iceberg of my life. I am not going to complain about the things that I have been through because I am learning why I have gone through it. Not always useful at the moment of trial by fire but the after moments are coming and I am seeing the blessings and strengths I have been able to gain from them.

FOR EXAMPLE: My new ward is Citrus Groves. It is yet another young single adult ward and there is an emphasis on the young part. At least of those in the Relief Society. I have to admit that my fit have been dragging for some time now in wanting to be involved and part of the ward. There have been many prayers to my Heavenly Father as to why I need to be in the ward. Many tears of frustration have also been shed. You would think that I am one to just jump right in and be happy and go to church. However, I have been stubborn. I wanted to go to the family ward because I did not want to be the oldest woman in my ward. Well needless to say I have been humbled by the Lord. He has brought me to the point of understanding as to the why. It is because I NEED TO LEARN... Love, patience, understanding, and gratitude.

So for all the blessings in my life right now I am truly grateful for the blessings of a kind and all too patient Heavenly Father. Because despite my want of running faster than I am able he finds ways to slow me down and allow me to see what is around me and how it is his will and not mine that needs to be accomplished.

Boston was FABULOUS!!!

Oh the beauty of fall colors. Boston was just great. From Harvard Square to the Contemporary Art Museum. We walked almost everywhere and had a lot of soup. Needless to say New England Clam Chowder will never be the same. There are a lot of pictures but I still have not put them in something that can transfer to the blog. So the following is just one picture of Lindsay and I on the ferry to Salem. I learned how to fly on that ferry. :) I have to admit that I was freaked out while on the ferry but after awhile I got the hang of it and it ended up being a great experience.

How Time Flys

Ok so yes it has been FOREVER since I have written on my blog. And there is much to fill you all in on.
1. I went back to school full-time. I am totally excited and things are actually falling into place. Not that it has been easy but it is just coming together and it just reaffirms my decision to go back to school.
2. There has been much traveling and hiatus time. I went to KY with my parents for a month. Yes that is a month I wrote. It was great to get away and just go back to being me. I didn't realize how bogged down I had become by all the things of life.
3. I am going to Boston actually in 6 hours. Totally excited to see the east coast. It is my favorite coast. :) It will however be my last trip for sometime. Which I do not mind because honestly I love my home right now and my bed etc.

I have truly found the pleasure and joy in the small things right now. So to share or show what makes me happy I am including pictures. They may not make sense to you but they are my little joys of life right now.
As always thank you to all of you who pray for me. I feel them all the time. Remember who you are and that you are the best because I said so. :)
This is me and some of the gang after carving pumpkins. I am not a Halloween fan but this was just so much fun.

Me and Katie before the SYTYCD concert

My favorite dance. "THE DOOR" is what I have named it. I love Twitch and Katee.

Iowa & Nauvoo Trip

Sorry it has been so long in my posting. Been running around the US trying to catch some sites of the beautiful country side.
Had the oppurtunity to go to Iowa to visit my sister Crystal and her family. It was so much fun and a big relaxing week for me. It was GREAT!!! We went to Nauvoo which is their temple and got to meet up with my mom and her YW there. It was a blast. However I did realize that teenagers are just not the way they used to be. Of course I was a practically perfect teenager. LOL ;)
Here are some of the pics from the travels.
Yes I am standing in front of a cornfield. They are pretty much everywhere there and I thought it was funny. The walk over to the cornfield was the funniest part. Almost got swallowed up by grass.
On our way back from Carthage/Nauvoo on the Iowa side of the river there was this riverboat. I have never seen one before and thought it was cool. It is a casino boat that goes up and down the river but since the floods has been out of commission.
My mom and I playing stick pull. Needless to say I did not win. Totally underestimated my mom and her muscles. (Love you MOM)
Me in front of the Nauvoo temple. Not the best picture but it is a really tall temple. It was great to be able to do a session there. Just the history and sitting there was so peaceful and humbling.

Summer Time

Time for vacation, celebrations, and lots of fun. It has been a fun filled summer thus far and is yet to be finished.
Over the 4th of July I went up with some of my friends to Heber to a cabin for the weekend. It was so much fun and fabulous weather. I forget how much I do like it up there. Here are some pics from that weekend. (and yes we are all adults but sometimes it is nice to be kid like.)

Randy, Nathan, Camilla, me, Sarah, Rich, Cami, Becca, Colleen
We were all upstairs playing games.

Waiting for the fireworks to start

The cheerleader in me came out again. ;)

Second: Paul, Becca, Camilla,

Top: Kevin (helping me up) & Charrise

This picture is not from the 4th but from a service project I did with my friend Jessica. We went to camp Wamatochick and helped get it ready for the summer campers. I was in charge of the kitchen and needless to say I now have some kitchen skills.

The summer is not over. There is the Snowflake Pioneer Day celebration coming up, traveling to Iowa & Illinois to see my family and Navuoo. There is so much fun to be had and I look forward to all of it.
